For those that are new to Weds Night Fights and how it works, we have prepared a FAQ below:

What is Weds Night Fights?

Weds Night Fights, also known as WNF,  is a weekly fighting game tournament series created by Level Up featuring classic and popular games to grow the local scene. WNF is currently the largest weekly event in the world and showcased throughout our main Twitch leveluplive channel and community driven streams.

What games are at Weds Night Fights?

WNF x eSports Arena Orange County currently features Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Smash on WiiU, Tekken 7, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Blazblue Cross Tag Battle, Guilty Gear Revelator 2, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Street Fighter III: Third Strike, ARMS, and Pokken Tournament DX.

WNF x eSports Arena Oakland will feature a similar line up but will also ask the community for specific titles to cater to regional demand.

How much does it cost to enter?

There are 2 costs associated with tournament entry, WNF competitor pass and prize pool. WNF competitor pass is $10 to compete in a tournament or to play casual games. After the competitor pass is purchased, an additional $5 per game(s) is required to fulfill the prize pool which goes directly to finalists. For example if you are entering Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition and Dragon Ball FighterZ, your total comes out to be $20.

If you are only planning to play casual games, an eSports Arena day pass of $10 is required. Spectating is absolutely free to watch.

How old do you have to be to attend?

Attendees 13 years and under must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

What are the rules?

WNF runs a double elimination bracket for every game featuring 1 winners and 1 losers bracket. Competitors have another chance at reaching finals if they lose in the winners bracket.

Most titles also run first to two games to progress in the bracket. Specific titles such as Super Street Fighter II: Turbo run first to three games to progress. Details of specific game rules can be found in the registration page.

How do I register?

There are 2 methods to register, online and onsite. You can RSVP your attendance by registering online but paying onsite to save your spot in the tournament. You can also opt to just show up and sign up onsite but it is advised to arrive at least 1 hour before tournament start time to avoid long lines.

Why should I attend Weds Night Fights?

WNF offers the highest level of competition throughout every title in the region. Our tournaments are structured with grassroots arcade style rules and formats to ensure everyone has the same chance at winning. We also welcome new competitors with a roadmap on how to progress their training regimen and provide opportunities to finalists such as prizing from our partners.

Last but not least, WNF provides a platform for community members to grow their brands on our streams or their community driven channels. This opportunity creates ambassadors to the scene from players, commentators, producers, and influencers. For example: Ultradavid, James Chen, Sajam, Tasty Steve, Rip, Rynge, Vicious, Samifish and more got their start and honed their skills through WNF events. These commentators are now featured in just about every major fighting game event. Snake Eyez, Alex Myers, Chris Tatarian, Supernoon, and many more talented players started competing at WNF and are now traveling the world to compete vs the best.

What is the schedule?

WNF casual play begins at 6PM PST. Tournaments start at 9PM at WNF x eSports Arena Orange County and 8PM at WNF x eSports Arena Oakland.
