SoCal Regionals Block Party 2016

crowd_scr2014

SoCal Regionals is shaping up to be one of the strongest tournaments this year, featuring world class players on every featured title. While the tournament is the main attraction at SCR, we want to enhance the overall experience with something truly special for the community this October 14-16.

Level Up presents the SoCal Regionals Block Party 2016! The Block Party is a new addition to SCR; featuring an extended viewing stage, partnered food trucks, vendors, Red Bull Energy Suite, Casual Gaming Lounge, and Machinima’s Inside eSports and Virtual Reality Experience.

So when you are not competing, come outside of the venue and relax. Give those mashing fingers a rest and have more fun.

Extended Viewing Stage

Don’t miss the stream! We are showcasing the main stream in our extended viewing area with a projector, speakers, and extra seating. Enjoy a comfortable viewing experience outdoors with the community at the Block Party!

Food Trucks

Looking for some good food spots? How about right outside SCR? Our friends at Okamoto Kitchen will be at SCR and they are bringing some of their friends to join to the party! Food trucks will change everyday so everyone can enjoy a variety of good eats!

Vendors

Check out some of our vendors; showcasing peripherals, art, toys, games, and various fighting game merchandise at the Block Party. Bring your cameras and funds because what you see may tempt you.

Red Bull Energy Suite

Our friends are providing an awesome Red Bull Energy Suite where you can hang out with the community. There will be a live DJ set running daily from 12PM – 5PM, Red Bull Wings Team, and also some fun Cornhole & Rock Paper Scissor competitions. Take a load off the tournaments and chill with friends at the Red Bull Energy Suite.

Casual Gaming Lounge

All tournament stations will be inside eSports Arena so if you are interested in getting some games in, you gotta take it to the streets! The Block Party will have a dedicated casual gaming lounge with monitors powered by Zowie, projector, and speakers in case anybody is interested in hosting special exhibitions or side tournaments! First come first serve!

Machinima’s Inside eSports & Virtual Reality Experience

We are excited to partner with Machinima’s Inside eSports to cover SoCal Regionals throughout the weekend. Catch the salt, the victories, the journey to the finals, and special interviews at Machinima’s Inside eSports media center at SCR. That’s not all! Machinima is also providing some VR action for everyone to enjoy at their dedicated gaming booth. All this fun stuff happening at the heart of the Block Party 2016!
