After weeks of spring cleaning, planning, and running other events, Level|Up's Wednesday Night Fights returns May 5, but this time, at a new location.
It is my pleasure to announce that Dave & Buster's at The Block at Orange is the official sponsor of Wednesday Night Fights. Yes, this is the exact same location where we held the SoCal Level|Up Tournament, aka Project Blocks.
From now on, WNF will be hosted in The Party Room of Dave & Buster's. This room has a small projection screen, plenty of room and tables, and houses a max capacity of 127 people!
What better place to train, compete, and eat with the finest players of SoCal? Come join us next Wednesday at Dave & Buster's at The Block at Orange!
The stream will be headed by Frank Reyes, one of our stream technicians.
More Info on SRK: http://bit.ly/curwpl
Special Thank You
All of us at Level|Up would like to personally thank Daniel "SHGLbmx" Tam for providing his home as the initial location of WNF. His kind heart and motivation to help the community was integral in the development of WNF. While we may be moving to a new venue, the heart and soul still lies in what everyone called, Southern Hills Garage Land. |

If you haven't already heard, Capcom, along with Sony, is throwing a Super Street Fighter IV Fight Club in Los Angeles tomorrow night to celebrate the upcoming release of the game. Can't make it? Don't fret because Level | Up Series is also teaming up with Capcom to provide the live broadcast stream. You can expect the same high quality broadcast as our tournament streams along with coverage of the event festivities.
Here are the details according to Seth Killian, Community Manager at Capcom:
For anyone that isnt in LA, or just cant make it, you can watch the action on the Capcom ustream page. Event starts at 8, but we may begin streaming anytime that day, and this is going to be one you do NOT want to miss.

Follow @levelupseries on twitter to receive updates on the instant we go live.
Make sure to tune in as Mark "MarkMan" Julio from MadCatz will be giving away Super Street Fighter IV Arcade TE "S" FightSticks to our viewers on air! Thank you MarkMan and MadCatz!
And as always James "JChensor" Chen has graciously signed on to provide commentary for the matches.
Did we also mention that Daigo "The Beast" Umehara will be in attendance along with the United States Champion Justin "Marvelous" Wong? It will be two rivals taking on each other for the first time in a new game. We'll be sure to stream Daigo taking on the best that the United States has to offer!
Stream requirements:
The venue has a 1 Mbps upload which we plan on utilizing to it's full capacity, so you will need at least 1 Mbps download for a smooth viewing experience. You will also need a computer that can handle Ustream which runs on Adobe Flash. |

The Chris Hu support makes its way to San Diego! The fine people at The Box Arena will be holding a special Street Fighter 4 Singles tournament this Thursday, April 22, starting at 7pm. This tournament will be the final "vanilla" SF4 tournament for the organization. But more importantly, all cash proceeds from this tournament will be donated to help support Chris Hu, a fighting game community member whose family has recently lost all of their savings and property due to a fire.
Help support The Box Arena, Chris Hu, and the Fighting Game Community by attending this event. More information can be found at http://www.theboxarena.com/main/2010/4/19/box-arena-session-tournament-this-thursday-42210.html
